Dear Mr. WUSA9 Reporter,
I'm sorry for turning down your interview. I know you said your boss is really interested in my story, and you're probably scrambling to try and look for a new story now, but I'm really sorry. I'm tired. Ever since last night, my Facebook and Twitter has been exploding with messages from people I know, and they're all nice, but the comments on NBC4's page hasn't exactly been kind. I don't want that kind of negative attention to plague my family. It doesn't matter anyway, the interviews. I'm going home.
You said that you're just "gonna go away and leave [me] alone." That's a pretty harsh way of putting it. I want to do the interview, but not in front of the camera and all that. I don't want people to recognize me wherever I go and think that I'm asking for their pity. I'm really sorry that things got out of hand so quickly. I would have done the interview if you asked me before NBC4 did. Thank you for being patient and for telling me that you wish me the best. Much appreciated.
Sincerely,
Jireh Silva
